BBun and STUR headed to East Potomac Park
A chilly 10k on tap - this wasn’t a lark
Pre race potty situation was not to be had
Pee behind those bushes? How rad!
The course was a two loop out and back
Around the tip of Hains Point, it wasn’t too bad
Met up with local runner who goes by Roustance
He’s run a half in every state, understand?
First Sunday in February - 100 100’s in LONG COURSE was the task-
How did it go? So glad you asked!!
A pretty large group gathered at the Saint James!
At 6:50 BBun and STUR got down to business - no playing games.
Friends Kate and Laurie did all the leading-
2:15 interval was set- no cheating!
Unfortunately after 47 there was a small incident-
Somebody threw up- don’t worry not a participant.
The pool was cleared for an hours time-
Waiting didn’t work for some- they respectfully declined.
STUR stayed with the other two and kept it going-
Snack/ potty breaks galore didn’t mean they were slowing!
Hit up the water park after the task was complete-
Dedicated swim friends can’t be beat!
Super Bowl Sunday early in the morn
It was still dark out of that you can be sure
STUR swung by to pick up BBun
Headed to the Lover’s Half - it would be fun
Of course Mother Nature had to rain on their parade
Also snow and sleet - oh well no need to be dismayed
The trail at Burke Lake is where they would be
Thankfully it’s mostly flat you see!

Gotta get a picture of the turn around sign, natch!
Post race the rabbits hopped over for their Dunkin’ Donuts fix -
Had the treats in the warm car with some shivering in the mix!
